Notice on the Credit Withdrawal System

Students eligible for the Credit Withdrawal System for Spring Semester 2025 may apply as outlined below.
(Refer to Article 51 of the Academic Operations Regulations.)

 

Details:

1. Eligibility:
Students (including those on leave of absence) who have completed at least 7 semesters and earned at least 102 credits [106 credits for certain colleges/departments as defined in Article 57(2) of the Academic Operations Regulations]

(Only fourth-year students are eligible in the case of transfer students, students pursuing a double major are not eligible)

 

2. Credits Withdrawable:
Up to 6 credits may be withdrawn only once prior to graduation (Courses currently in progress cannot be withdrawn.)

 

3. Courses Eligible for Withdrawal:
Courses for which credit has been earned (including those recognized through domestic or international exchange programs, F-graded courses are not eligible)

 

4. Application Period: May 9 (Fri), 10:00 – May 30 (Fri), 17:00
No late applications will be accepted under any circumstances. If missed, apply in the following semester.

 

5. How to Apply:
Log in to KUPID → Academic Records/Graduation → Grades → Credit Withdrawal Application
→ Select the course(s) and submit the application

 

6. Notes:
a. Courses designated as mandatory (e.g., General Education Required, Major Required, Teacher Certification Required) cannot be withdrawn.
b. Withdrawn credits are excluded from total earned credits, but the course name will remain on transcripts and the grade will be marked as “W”.
c. Courses being retaken this semester cannot be withdrawn. Courses approved for withdrawal cannot be retaken.
d. Once submitted, credit withdrawal cannot be canceled. (Check graduation requirements before applying.)
e. Credits earned through internships cannot be withdrawn.
f. Withdrawing graduate-level courses taken through the BA–MA joint program will result in revocation of program admission.
g. If eligible courses do not appear on the portal, contact your department office.
