On April 19, the Departments of Food Regulatory Science, Functional Food Science, and Food and Biotechnology at Korea University Sejong Campus held the ‘Integration of Knowledge, Insight, and Industry-Academia Food Innovation Network Festival’. The event drew over 130 participants from industry, academia, affiliated institutions, and local and central government faculties.
Under the slogan ‘Synergy, Energy, Foodtechnology’ (Synergy through Communication, Energy through Action, and Technology through Challenge), the festival featured a wide range of engaging programs, including food tech exhibitions, sports activities, wellness gift distributions, a mascot welcome event, and cheerleading performances.Participants were able to experience the latest in food technology and products through interactive exhibition booths, while also engaging in discussions on the future directions of food regulatory science and functional foods.
Vice President Kim Young stated, “We hope this platform for collaboration between industry, academia, and government will serve as a springboard for the regional food industry ecosystem.” Local National Assembly member Kim Jongmin added, “I look forward to the continued development of a robust governance model between the K-Food industry and academia here in Sejong City.”
