Lee Yewon, a professional golfer and student at the School of Global Sport Studies at Korea University Sejong Campus, has achieved remarkable success on the 2025 KLPGA Tour, capturing three victories over a two-week span. On May 20, she reached a career-high No. 25 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
On April 6, Lee secured her first win of the season at the ‘Doosan E&C We’ve Championship’ held at Dongrae Benest Golf Club (Par 72) in Busan, finishing with a total score of 12-under-par 276. On May 11, she followed this with a wire-to-wire victory at the ‘NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship’, carding 14-under-par 202. On May 18, she claimed her third title of the season by winning the ‘Doosan Match Play Championship’, marking two consecutive weeks of victories.
Since making her KLPGA debut in 2022, Lee has garnered significant accolades, including Rookie of the Year. In the 2023 season, she secured three wins and swept major honors, including the Money List title, Player of the Year, and lowest scoring average. She repeated her three-win performance in 2024, sharing the most wins title that season. Continuing her strong form, Lee has maintained impressive results throughout the 2025 season.
From May 23 to 25, Lee is set to compete in the ‘13th E1 Charity Open’ at the Ferrum Club in Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do. A victory at this event would earn her a rare place in KLPGA history as only the third player ever to win three consecutive tournaments.
