Korea University Sejong Research & business Foundation has been selected as an outstanding internship institution for the ‘2025 Youth Job Experience Support Program,’ organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

The ‘Youth Job Experience Support Program’ is a government-supported initiative that offers practical training, on-site work experience, and mentoring to unemployed youth aged 15 to 34, helping them explore career paths and prepare for employment.

The foundation has also been designated as an employment training institution, taking on a central role in providing education to strengthen practical skills and overseeing the entire internship program for participating youth.

Starting in May, the foundation will recruit both young participants and partner companies for the internship-type program on a rolling basis. The program will span a variety of fields including information and communication technology (ICT), software (SW), advertising · marketing, and research and development (R&D). It aims to help young participants build job-related competencies in a systematic way while gaining hands-on experience in the field.

The internship program consists of a mandatory pre-employment training course followed by participation in actual work as interns. The pre-employment training spans 3 days (a total of 20 hours), while internships run from a minimum of 10 weeks to a maximum of 20 weeks.

Participants will receive a training participation allowance of 10,000 won per day, an internship stipend of 350,000 won per week, and up to 200,000 won per month in living support allowances.

Additionally, as a professional institution for career and entrepreneurship education as well as a Research & business body, the foundation plans to offer job and startup counseling and operate its own mentoring programs, leveraging its existing resources.

Director Kim Heeseok stated, “We will continue to provide practical support to help youth strengthen the competencies in real-world job environments. We aim to contribute to building a sustainable employment and entrepreneurship ecosystem in collaboration with the local community.”
