On April 8, Korea University Sejong Campus and the Sejong Joint Campus signed a memorandum of understanding at the Academic and Cultural Support Center of the Sejong Joint Campus. The agreement aims to promote the Glocal University and RISE initiatives.

 

Korea University Sejong Campus is currently working on innovative strategies to be designated as one of the ‘Glocal University 30’ institutions in 2025, with the goal of enhancing national, regional, and university competitiveness on a global scale. Through this agreement, the campus plans to build a ‘K-Think Tank’ in collaboration with Sejong City and national research institutes based on the Sejong Joint Campus, and to present a cooperative model that promotes interdisciplinary education and joint research.

 

The two institutions will cooperate in several areas, including the establishment of a collaborative system for human resource exchange and joint research to support the Glocal University and RISE initiatives, the joint operation of academic programs such as education, seminars, and technology exchanges, and the provision of open and advanced lecture spaces.

 

In particular, the Sejong Joint Campus will support the Glocal University and RISE initiatives of Korea University Sejong Campus by providing smart classrooms and large lecture halls, contributing to the creation of a cutting-edge digital learning environment.

 

The signing ceremony included introductions of the guests, opening remarks, a congratulatory speech, a briefing on the agreement, the signing itself, and commemorative photos. Moving forward, both institutions plan to continue their partnership by operating joint education and research programs with other universities housed in the Joint Campus and through the activities of the Glocal University Promotion Committee.
