Chairman Kwon Ohsub of L&P Cosmetic has donated 1 billion won to support the renovation of the Students Union Building at Korea University Sejong Campus. This donation is part of a larger 3 billion won contribution made by Chairman Kwon to support Korea University development—1 billion won of which will go to the Sejong Campus and another 1 billion won to Korea University Medicine.

 

The newly remodeled building will serve as a multi-functional welfare space encompassing learning, relaxation, and social interaction. It is expected to not only enhance the university’s status as a central academic hub in the new administrative capital region, but also improve the quality of student life on campus.

 

With this latest contribution, Chairman Kwon’s total donations to Korea University now amount to approximately 25.1 billion won. His philanthropic journey with the university began in 2016 with a 12 billion won donation to establish the ‘Mediheal Earth & Environmental Science Hall’ Since then, he has continuously supported a wide range of areas including a 1 billion won donation for athletics, 100 million won to sponsor the rugby team, 120 million won for scholarships for international students, and provision of hand sanitizers to the Medicine. In 2023, he donated 5 billion won to fund the construction of the new auditorium ‘Mediheal ESS Hall’ at Korea University Anam Hospital.
